The Japanese video game company FromSoftware banded together with the writer of Game of Thrones, George R.R. Martin to create their next masterpiece. This may be FromSoftware’s most ambitious yet. After succeeding with the Dark Souls series, Bloodborne and the game of the year winning Sekiro, I believe Elden Ring will be a masterpiece.
At E3 2019 there was a 2:39 minute clip teasing Elden Ring, which unfortunately was the only information on Elden Ring. This caused many fans to question it’s existence, up until the 10th June 2021 where FromSoftware released another trailer. This trailer was slightly longer, but shows off much more of the game. In this trailer it shows off a mix of it’s beautiful graphics and art style, and its gameplay.
On the 4th of November 2021, a 20 minute gameplay preview was uploaded to YouTube, which showed off many aspects of the game. This preview shows that Elden Ring is going back to their more dark souls style but with features of Sekiro mixed in. Also from Friday 12th November to Monday 15th November there will be 5 sessions of a network test, which will be the perfect opportunity for some of the community to play early.
