Boris Johnson Forced to Act in Recent Sleaze Scandal

Recently the Prime Minister sent a letter the The Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle and called for the ban of MPs working as paid consultants and for any MPs who have other jobs and could be using their parliamentary office for personal gain to be investigated. This recently comes in the light as certain MPs such as Geoffrey Cox, the Conservative MP for Torridge and West Devon, facing claims he worked for the British Virgin Islands Government and that he regularly broke House of Commons rules. Since there was such a public backlash over the recent scandals facing the MPs, which may have been the governments surprise, the PM has decided to take a hard-line stance on corruption in the government it seems.
