The leader of the opposition party, Keir Starmer pressed Boris Johnson during Prime Minister Question Time in the House of Commons about the MP Owen Patterson case about him lobbying outside of parliament and him using his parliamentary office to get meetings with companies. The Government was accused of doing a “U-Turn” not backing the MP calling for another vote after massive public backlash when a majority of the conservative governments MPs backed not throwing legal action at the MP, who later resigned due to the backlash.
