The leader of the opposition has recently told the Prime Minister that people will be asked to “pay twice” for care with the governments new social care bill which was recently passed with a slim majority in the House of Commons, with a vote of 246 – 272 with a sizeable rebellion from the backbenches of the Conservative Party, with 19 Tory MPs voting against the bill, showing distrust in the bill. Keir Starmer also told the Prime Minister that the bill will only protect “those well off” and called it a classic con game, and then went on to accuse the PM of “distracting people with wild promises”. The PM then went on to tell the leader of the opposition that he was “delivering for the working people of the country” and then went on to label him “Captain Hindsight” and put forward the idea that if he was in charge instead that we would still be in lockdown.
