Thanks to the success of season 1 of Arcane a second season was announced and put into production on November 20th. Arcane lasted nine episodes and ended on a cliff hanger so many watchers we expecting a season 2. But no one thought it would be announced so soon.
The show is takes place in the League of Legends world developed by Riot Games. It shows the origin story of many of the characters that can be played in League of Legends. These characters include Vi and Jinx from the Utopian city Piltover and the under city Zaun.
The CEO of Riot Games said that “The first Season took over 6 years to make. But the second season should take no where near as long.” However, it will not be coming in 2022. So the soonest it will be released in 2023.
In Season 2 of Arcane it will star Hailee Steinfield as Vi. Ella Purnell as Jinx. And Katie Leung as Caitlyn. In the teaser there are no new scenes but there is some audio of the mechanical heartbeat of the champion Warwick. As for content, the leader of Zaun has just been killed with no people who could take over. Jinx who was a candidate is out of control so Vi might have to. This is because Vi is the adopted daughter of the former leader of Zaun. In the last episode Jinx had a rocket launcher pointed at the building as Vander was about to pass a law to give Zaun independence.
