Streamers Pay Due to A Source Code Leak
Twitch has become a victim of a unknown hacker who claims to have data of the streaming platform. This data includes the websites source code users passwords and streamers earnings and much more.
The leak originated from 4Chan with the hacker saying his reasons for the leak claiming he wanted to disrupt the streaming service stating twitches “toxic” community was his primary motivation, Twitch users accounts are now at risk with passwords being leaked with people advising to rest your password and enabling 2F verification.
VGC has said that “anonymous company source has stated that the leaked data is legitimate,”. With Twitch still not making any statement on the issue. The leak has data on outdated streamer pay-outs witch are shown here.
With more information still coming the website is already plagued with problems and people can only ask How will they deal with this?
